More on the wake
Oct. 25th, 2006 04:33 pmOur potluck coordinator is the lovely and talented
laurel, who can be reached at laurel@windowseat.org; 612-822-0205 (home); or 612-720-3039 (mobile). Please let her know what you'll be bringing, so we can have a diverse selection of sustaining comestibles instead of sixteen bags of barbecue potato chips and 3.5 liters of Grenadine.

Date: 2006-10-25 06:42 pm (UTC)I'd bring Michigan State University potato chips, but I just gave away my last bag. Guess I'll stop and pick something up at the St. Louis Park Byerly's, (http://www.byerlys.com/) which is conveniently on the way between the church and the R/a/d/d/i/s/h/ Sheraton Bloomington.
Note to out-of-towners who may have been amazed by the St. Louis Park Byerly's during a previous visit to Minneapolis, and to returning former residents like me: they've remodeled. Much as I regret the removal of the signature chandelier over the frozen foods, overall the change is brilliant. Even if you can't buy a $50,000 crystal table at the grocery store, 'cause the gift shop is gone, too. It's been replaced by a kitchenwares shop and a community room.
