Well, technically, in a dusty stack of papers that somehow got shoved on top of a filing cabinet and then buried in other stuff.

For former Fidonet aficionados, I reproduce the message format as near as may be.

"Good morning, Mr. Baggins.  The man you're looking at is Sauron, Dark Lord of Mordor.  Sauron has placed his power in these rings, which transform his subordinates into creatures hostile to the ideals of Western democracy.  Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to destroy the One Ring and liberate Middle Earth.  As always, should you or any of your Company be caught or killed, the Elf-Kings will disavow any knowledge of your actions.  This inscription will self-destruct in five heartbeats.  Good luck, Frodo."

Put it in <blockquote>'s - i.e., put a <blockquote> in front of it, and a </blockquote> after it. Then it should render the way you want it to.

The first season, with Martin Landau as Faramir and Barbara Bain as Eowyn, was best. I always thought casting Leonard Nimoy as Haldir, as they did in Season 4, was kinda lame.

I wish I had saved the post he made on the Pyramid newsgroups for the Anachronistic Missions Force assignment, in Chaucerian style.

Absolutely.

However, I find I do have a Tolkien-related post he made there. I will post it in a new entry. As I recall he was not necessarily in favor of his Pyramid posts being made permanent (people occasionally asked about the possibility of them being published in a book), but I don't imagine he'd begrudge the one.

Fidonet . . . your office's filing must resemble mine.
