London meeting
Oct. 2nd, 2006 11:59 pmI am thinking of trying to organize a London celebration of his life and work for October 27th to coincide with the memorial service in Minneapolis. Any thoughts on format, venue etc. would be welcome - I was thinking of building it around readings of his poetry.

Date: 2006-10-03 11:34 am (UTC)I'm organising a memorial at Con*Cept, a local convention, the weekend of 14-15th October. I've invited specific people to read, and I'm in negotiation about what's going to be read, but at the moment it looks like "Scrabble With God" and a lot of poetry -- and I'm going to print up an order sheet so people know what they're doing. I thought we'd start off with half an hour or so of solid readings, and then have some conversation, and then end with "Winter Solstice, Camelot Station" and adjourn to the bar.
I'd be very interested in your ideas on format and etc, as none of this is set in stone yet and I really want to make it good.
